What’s New In Studio 3T 2022.3 – Free Edition

Posted on: 28/03/2022 (last updated: 21/04/2022) by DJ Walker-Morgan

With Studio 3T 2022.3, we’re launching a new edition of Studio 3T for users who don’t have a license to use the advanced features of Studio 3T. That edition is called Studio 3T Free and it has been designed to provide more features and better performance than the, now legacy, Robo 3T free GUI. Studio 3T Free is not a new application. It has been created as part of Studio 3T and will be updated alongside Studio 3T. Best of all, Studio 3T Free is free forever.

If you need more power, like Studio 3T’s Visual Query Builder, Aggregation Editor or SQL Queries, simply get a license and without reinstalling or reconfiguring, those power tools will be in your hands.

Headline features in Studio 3T 2022.3

Studio 3T Free is a new edition of Studio 3T that gives users some of the core components of Studio 3T – a smart Connection Manager, an IntelliShell editor, Table/Tree/JSON views, JSON Editor and Dark themes. It is available when the user has no license and is outside the 30 day free trial. Users will need a free Studio 3T account to activate the Free edition.

Other Fixes in Studio 3T 2022.3

Indexes: Fields are no longer removed when switching between the Index Wizard’s fields and JSON tabs.

Intellishell: A race condition with shell startup and the user typing into the shell’s editor has been resolved

User Shoutouts

We’d like to thank the users of Studio 3T who have yet again been invaluable to making Studio 3T better for them and everyone else.

For Studio 3T 2022.3, we are thanking Antonios Daskos for identifying the Index Wizard’s fields/JSON issue.

For the full history of changes in Studio 3T, see the change log.
