That’s why, as of June 2, 2025, we’re introducing thoughtful changes to our pricing and packaging. These changes are designed to better reflect how you’re using MongoDB today and to support you as your projects scale.
We remain committed to offering solutions for every stage of your MongoDB journey. As you tackle larger, more complex projects, we’re focusing on delivering secure, efficient tools that help you manage and scale MongoDB with confidence.
What’s changing?
To better serve you and reflect how you’re using Studio 3T, we’re introducing a simpler product lineup.
Here’s what’s changing starting June 2, 2025:
- Studio 3T Free becomes Studio 3T Community Edition: a free, non-commercial tool designed for students and hobbyists starting out with MongoDB. You can connect to up to three MongoDB clusters, and our friendly Community Forum is always available to help and guide you.
What this means for current Free users: Accept the new End-User License Agreement (EULA) in the app. You’ll be prompted to do this when you update Studio 3T.
- Studio 3T Basic merges with Studio 3T Pro to become Studio 3T Professional: a productivity powerhouse designed for individuals scaling their MongoDB projects and workflows.
What this means for current Basic users: With your next Studio 3T update, you’ll get access to Professional, unlocking advanced capabilities like translating aggregations into application code, analyzing schema structures, syncing collections, connecting to SQL databases, and more. When it’s time to renew, you’ll need to upgrade your license to keep using Professional.
Existing customers can purchase additional Studio 3T Professional seats at their current Basic price until July 31, 2025 using the License Manager.
- Studio 3T Pro and Studio 3T Ultimate remain the same, you’ll just notice that ‘Pro’ is now called ‘Professional’.
