In this guide, we cover how to install Studio 3T on macOS.
Prerequisites
If you are connecting to a cloud-based or remote installation of MongoDB, you do not need to install MongoDB locally. Move on to Install Studio 3T for macOS.
If you want to configure a local installation of MongoDB, install the latest MongoDB community edition on your Mac. To do this, follow MongoDB’s tutorial on installing MongoDB on macOS using the Homebrew package manager.
Install Studio 3T for macOS
macOS/OS X users can download Studio 3T for macOS as a disk image which contains the Studio 3T application. Dragging the application to the Application folder will install it.
- Download the latest Studio 3T .dmg file. Remember to select Intel or Apple Silicon on the download page to get the correct version for your Mac.
- Open the .dmg file on your machine.
- Drag and drop the Studio 3T .app file into your Applications folder.
