- Updated the MongoDB Shell (mongosh) that’s included with the Studio 3T installation from version 1.8 to version 2.2.5.
- Updated the bundled tools to version 100.9.4 for mongodump and mongorestore.
- Updated the ChatGPT model in AI Helper from gpt-3.5-turbo-instruct to gpt-3.5-turbo-1106.
In Studio 3T 2024.3, we’ve continued to work on improving the Collection Tab feature we introduced earlier in the year in Studio 3T 2024.1. Some of you reported that auto-completion in the query bar was slowing down input. So now, you can switch auto-completion on and off for the fields in the query bar. Studio 3T 2024.3 also makes it easier to work with the Collection Tab by ensuring that all open dialogs that are associated with a tab are dismissed too when you close a tab.

Collection Tab
Added a button in the query bar to enable or disable auto-completion.
Visual Query Builder
Dragging and dropping values onto existing rules now preserves the selected operator.
Other Improvements
- Document dialogs now close automatically with their parent tab (Windows and macOS only).
- Implemented improvements to reduce the likelihood of Studio 3T freezing on Ubuntu.

Aggregation Editor
- If you select a different collection in the AI Helper, Studio 3T now prompts you to update the aggregation source shown at the top of the Aggregation tab when you generate the aggregation query.
- Fixed loading aggregation queries that contain Date Tags.
IntelliShell
Fixed authentication of connections that use the MONGODB-AWS mechanism.
Export
Fixed an application error that occurred when moving entries up or down in the list of fields on the Export unit tab.
Index Manager
Fixed the sorting of indexes by usage count where the numbers in the list have different amounts of digits.
Schema Analyzer
Fixed an error that occurred when connecting to a schema source.
